Amla Candy Ingredients

One kilogram of Amla,

600 grams of Sugar,

Two tablespoons of Lemon juice,

And optional Mishri powder

Boil:

Fill a large container with enough water to completely submerge the gooseberries. Hold it until it boils.

Adding sugar:

Switch off the gas and drain the water after the gooseberries start to become a bit mushy. Now, place the gooseberries in a container and cover them with sugar. After the sugar has been added, squeeze in the lemon juice. It aids in preserving Amla's color.

Optional Mishri Powder:

For flavor, you can optionally add sugar candy powder if you'd like.

Cover:

Place a lid on the container and leave it at room temperature for two to three days.

Drying:

You will see that the gooseberry has completely dried out and transformed into sugar syrup after two to three days. The gooseberry should now be removed using a net or sieve and allowed to dry in the sun.

Making powder:

Use a mixer to ground the gooseberries until they are fully dry.
